From 25 Years on the Tools to Central Auckland's Trusted Referral
I started as an apprentice refrigeration engineer in Christchurch in the early 1990s. Over the next 25 years I worked across New Zealand, Christchurch, Wellington, Hamilton, and Auckland, crawling under houses and drilling through walls in every kind of home you can imagine.
The jobs that stayed with me were the bad ones. Units sized for the wrong room. Outdoor motors crammed too close to the boundary fence. Indoor heads positioned so they blew cold air straight onto the couch. These aren't problems you can service your way out of. If the install was wrong from day one, it stays wrong.
Eventually my knees had enough. Sharon had been telling me to slow down for years, and I finally listened. But I wasn't ready to walk away from the trade entirely. So I started referring Central Auckland homeowners to the one installer I genuinely trust, someone I've worked alongside and watched closely enough to know he does it properly.
This isn't a directory. I don't take listings. I refer one person in Central Auckland because I know his work firsthand, and I wouldn't send anyone to him if I wouldn't send my own family.
Local Knowledge for Central Auckland Homes
Central Auckland has its own mix of housing, older villas and bungalows in Mt Eden and Sandringham where space is tight and walls are thick, through to modern apartments and townhouses where positioning is everything. He knows these homes. He's worked in them for years, and that local knowledge shows in the quality of every install.
